Welcome to Oceans' personal website. I hope you enjoy my site and related projects that I maintain here, and come back often to see what new things that I am working on.

If your not new to this website. You might notice that I have redone the website. I decided not to bother trying to rewrite my OLD CMS system. I am now using OrchardCore CMS for management purposes of the website content. I am slowly revamping this website, and learning this new CMS system which is a great deal more advanced than my older site (Designed in the end days of Netscape Navigator).

I have switched from Microsoft SQL server to using SQL Lite for this website. I did this for simply less overhead that I have to deal with on maintaining this website over long term. Also gives me the option to host this much much cheaper place, if I choose to do so later on. With the switch of databases, and CMS backends, I had do do rewrite of my comic portion of this website and transfered the data to sqlite DB. I am not expecting more than one person to be doing data entry or doing any major updates to the website so this choice should handle this site just fine.

I am also considering opensourcing the Database and comicbook portion of this website. I no longer really worried about other sites stealing my content, as there are now several much larger sites that contain all the details I have and more, which didn't exist when I first started my website. I am not sure if I will continue my bot blocker and releated projects. My Friend IncrediBILL has past on, which kinda killed my drive for that project, as he was my sounding board for most of it. Also with Cloudflare and other tools out there today, the need for my bot blocker has been greatly reduced. Maintaining the block blocker, and all the rules was becoming a full time job. So if I do start it backup it will be open source and people can do what they will with it.
