Where No X-Men Has Gone Before

Summary

Hank doctors Deathbird, and she comes out of her coma. Bishop is suspicious of her, the sole survivor, and she indignantly denies his insinuations. Joseph and Remy show up, she grabs Bishop's gun and shoots them. They morphs into their true forms: Phalanx. She knew they didn't stink like humans.

The Phalanx have cut right through the Shi'ar empire. They have captured Remy and Joseph to feed to their young; they remember the X-Men from their attempt to conquer Earth (Phalanx Covenant crossover, including iss. 316-317). Rogue attacks them, only to get herself infected. Her last human effort is to say she always loved Remy, who by this time is loose and tries to free her. He charges a section of Phalanx, and it retreats before the explosion.

On Earth, Bastion has captured Jubilee.

Hank approaches the Shi'ar homeworld, planning to let the Phalanx destroy the ship, then coast in the escape pod, through debris to the main moon. It works, and Joseph guides the pod to a mining facility. They question whether they can trust Lilandra, but port with her to the planet.
