Summary

  Jazz, Marissa, and their EDC troopers have no choice but to fight through the Insecticon hordes surrounding them, even as Jazz notes they have strangely organic internals. As the fighting gets heated, two troopers are captured, but Jazz manages to drive away with Marissa, and they decide to find Sideswipe and Sunstreaker for help.

  Sideswipe and Sunstreaker are searching beneath the town theater, where they find a chamber full of glowing green egg pods. Nearby, Bombshell is tinkering with an unconscious Bumper while simultaneously ignoring orders from Shockwave. Bombshell dismisses the Decepticon leader to feed the larve, taking Kickback and Shrapnel with him. As they leave, Bumper stops feigning unconsciousness and starts to break himself loose.

  Meanwhile, in Cleveland, Spike Witwicky is helping his family unload the family van when an unmanned yellow Voleswagen beeps for his attention. Leaving Carley and Daniel to finish the job, Spike approaches Bumblebee and pre-emptively refuses to get involved with the Autobots again. In response, Bumblebee pleads for him to listen, because he's quitting the Autobots and needs a friend to talk to...

  Sunstreaker and Sideswipe finish inspecting the egg pods, which are growing some sort of techno-organic larvae. Checking an adjacent chamber, they're ambushed by more Insecticon drones, but manage to quickly gun them down -- before they're both felled by Shrapnel's lightning bolts!

  On the surface, Jazz and Marissa hide in an auto body shop, where they discoveer dozens of half-eaten mutilated cattle corpses. Jazz and Marissa then exchange notes: Marissa admits the EDC was first alerted to problems in the area when they received reports about missing and mutilated cattle. Jazz then admits that Grimlock had fought three Insecticons in the same area several million years ago, and was wondering if this was the same group. Descending a nearby tunnel, they find the chamber of egg pods, whereupon Jazz uses his flamethrower to destroy them.

  In the Control center, Shrapnel is teasing Sideswipe and Sunstreaker while Kickback wonders if Bombshell is controlling them with his cerebro-shells. An alarm from the egg chamber ends the debate, sending the Insecticons away ... and allowing Bumper to come out of hiding and free the other two Autobots. They then run to the egg chamber, joining the firefight between Jazz, Marissa, Kickback, and Shrapnel. Meanwhile, Bumper has returned topside, where he finds and rescues the two EDC troopers from an Insecticon drone. He asks if they've seen Bombshell, and they tell him that he passed by just a moment ago...

  As the battle returns to the surface, Sunstreaker blasts Kickback out of the air with a missile, and Sideswipe drops an office building on Shrapnel. Then then prepare to blast through the remaining Insecticon drones, but are surprised when they suddenly stop attacking ... and stand aside for a crowd of zombified human attackers! But as Bombshell gloats from nearby, he is suddenly mindfried -- by Bumper, using a captured cerebro-shell!

  Down on the street, the zombified humans and Insecticon drones suddenly fall inert. Bumper then appears, dragging an unconscious Bombshell, and Jazz congratulates him on a job well done.
