Summary

Held as a captive, Logan is put through the adamantium bonding process all over again by Genesis. So far, the adamantium process seemed to be working as their computer monitors the adamantium not being rejected by Logan's body. Genesis' intent was to use the adamantium to prevent Logan from becoming a mindless howling beast, but would add implants to him so that he can control Logan and use him as their first horseman of the Dark Riders. The other Dark Riders though have their doubts since they believe that Logan's healing factor might reject the implants that Genesis planned to implement into Logan.

Meanwhile, from above, Cannonball and Expediter are watching what was going on down below. They see inside many sarcophagi that, according to Expediter, contained the living prisoners of Genesis, and were all hooked up to one huge one in the middle that had the image of Apocalypse on it. Cannonball is worried that Genesis' plan was to revive Apocalypse. Cannonball is quite restless as he wants to save Logan.

Down below, there was a backflow occuring with the adamantium process and Logan. Genesis increases the power to full capacity to compensate for it. Above, Cannonball sees how Logan was in so much pain, and tries to get Expediter to transport Wolverine out of there. Expediter refuses to do it, justifying her reason that she couldn't interrupt the process and couldn't do anything until Logan does what he has to do. She fades away, and tells Cannonball to strike once Logan defeats the bonding process.

Back down below, the bonding process seemed to be near completion as the adamantium was bonding to Logan's skeleton and he wasn't rejecting the memory implants. Cannonball then strikes, but is taken down by the Dark Riders. Suddenly, the computers read backflow again from Logan, and it was a conscious rejection. This was too much for the computer to take as the machine explodes. The adamantium that was backflowing from Logan explodes out like shrapnels, killing Hurricane since he was the closest to the blast. The Dark Riders tries to take him down, but to no avail as Logan uses stealth to take them down. Genesis demands to Cannonball as to where Logan went, but from above, a dramatically-different looking Logan takes out Genesis in a display of beastly fury. Cannonball opens Apocalypse's sarcophigus, but there was nothing in it. Logan disappears.

Meanwhile, on top of a mountain somewhere, Stick tells Elektra that Logan had fallen from the path, and it was up to her to return him back to the path.
