Summary
Shockwave and the Decepticons devise a plan to control Bumblebee, in order to use him as a pawn against the Autobots. At the Ark, Bumblebee frets about his uselessness to the Autobots, and decides to run away to avoid being a liability to them. Spotted by Laserbeak, Bumblebee is hunted by the other Decepticons, but escapes by hiding in a used-car lot.
That night, two teenagers break into the lot and steal Bumblebee, overriding his motor functions in the process. They recklessly cruise the city, inadvertently attracting the attention of the Decepticons and the Autobots. The Decepticons find Bumblebee first and give chase, which attracts the Highway Patrol and the Air Force as well.
The Decepticons eventually have Bumblebee trapped at a freeway overpass. Jetfire appears and helps, only to get wounded by Thundercracker in the process. Bumblebee saves the teens from the collapsing overpass, but is then cornered by Shockwave. Just then, a phalanx of humans and Autobots arrive, prompting the Decepticons to retreat. While the humans try to sort out the mess, Bumblebee affirms his need to stay with the Autobots.
