Summary

  In its most basic format, I can summarize this book up by saying that it takes place at two time slots: when Logan recalls his past dealing with Sabretooth, and what's going on right now.

  We begin off with a bar scene where Logan was having a drink while some rowdy brawlers were fighting. Seeing this going on, it makes Logan recall about back in the days when he had found Silver Fox dead, and Sabretooth had claimed that he killed her.

  Then we are brought back to the present where Logan interferes with the fight, and takes out one of the guys who were fighting. Logan then leaves, and encounters a scene where a lady and her man were being attacked by a bunch of U.S. Navy "swabbies" who were ported at Madripoor. Logan interferes, and beats the crap out of them. He takes the injured man and the lady to a whorehouse where the person who was running the place, Joy, and her "ladies" helped to tend to the man's stabwound.

  Meanwhile, during all this time, there are brief flashbacks to the fight ongoing between Logan and Sabretooth.

  Back to the present....we later see that Drew and McCabe had an apartment near Joy's building. They show him around the room which doubled as their investigation office. And meanwhile, Logan still has a flashback when Sabretooth and him were fighting, and he had to scale a mountainside to get away.

  Later on, Logan still recalls his memory about when Sabretooth was beating him up badly. Back in the present, later on that night, Logan was attacked by the two bruisers whose fight he had interrupted in the bar. Logan gets away from the gunfire, but then they torched him and shot him, assuming he died.

  Flashback: Logan and Sabretooth ends their fight when Sabretooth and Logan fall over the face of the mountain. Present: Later on, Drew tells him she couldn't find the two guys, and that someone had nailed them, and she thought it was him. Later on that day, Logan discovers the two dead and slashed horribly...with a note pinned to them that said "Nobody Kills you but ME...especially today!" (since that day was Logan's birthday). Logan realizes it's Sabretooth, and he knows that they will meet soon to fight.
