Summary
Logan, Police Chief Tai, O'Donnell, and Archie Corrigan heads to the Prince's palace to have a talk with the Prince. They are attacked by the followers of Ba'al. All becomes separated. Logan disappears, and the other three decided to continue on since they knew that Logan would be able to handle himself. Seizing this opportunity, Logan changes back into his Wolverine outfit and takes the back way in.
Meanwhile, in the palace, Drew's trying to convince to the Prince that Ba'al was an evil guy, but to no success. The scene turns ugly though later on, as Ba'al forces his way to Johann, who possessed the final fragment of the Gehenna stone (he, remember, had just gotten it from O'Donnell in the last issue). After killing Johann, the Prince's guards rushes in, but Ba'al's followers also burst in, and a big ugly fight begins. Logan bursts in, and he also joins the fight.
In the meantime, Ba'al had put the last fragment into the gem. Immediately, supernatural energy fills the room, energy of evil. Ba'al's followers are transformed into real vampires, but the fight continues. Logan though goes one-on-one against Ba'al. A fight ensues between them unlike any fights that had happened in the past. The fight that goes on between Ba'al and Logan is compared to the fight that had ensued between the Hand of God and the original Ba'al. Once at his mercy, Logan still manages to swings his claw and shatter the stone. Seizing this opportunity, Logan manages to beat the crap out of the new Ba'al, and both are hurled out of the palace down to the sea below, and disappears.
Back in the palace, Ba'al's followers had returned to normal, and were arrested by the Prince's guards. Meanwhile, later on, we see that Logan and Ba'al had washed up onto the shore...with Ba'al dead. Logan walks away, tired, shredded, but nevertheless, triumphant.
Much later on, we see that everything had pretty much returned to normal. Logan explains when questioned about it that he wasn't affected by the stone simply because his own nature was already mean and nasty. Drew explains that since the jewel had been shattered, Ba'al's soul, when killed, didn't have any place to go, which meant the gem was now harmless.
