I been trying to play catchup with reading older volumns of Green Lantern to try to better understand what is going on in the current series. The Guardians where removed from the picture in 2011-2016 issue 20 (2011-2016). And the GL corp was trying to rebuild and reestablish themselfs in the universe.
2016-2017 looks like it was focused on the aftermath of the previous series, and has a large focus on the Red lanterns, and the shrinking numbers or Red Lanterns, and focused on two newish earth GL (Jessica Cruz & Simon Baz). They created a new charactor (The Phantom Lantern) in issue 12 and left it was a cliffhanger.
2017-2019 - I can't seem to find any comic runs for main GL for this range at this time.
But 2019-2020 Issue 1-12 by Grant Morrison. It seemed DC used an older story line he wrote and didn't bother trying to update it with the current events in the GL universe. But by doing this it completely lost me, trying to figure out how the guardians are back, and why would GL even listen to them. This left me scratching my head way too much, at issue 12 run I was trying to figure out why I am reading this mess. This run would of fit better pre emerald night story line, but trying to fit it in the current story line was leaving too many questions, since I know they didn't continue this story line. I have a feeling this run was something they had previously paid for, and just put into place to put out something and can be ignored.
2021-2022 I basicly skipped over this run, seeing teenager as GL, I was like ugg I have enough teenage drama in my life already don't need to read anymore of it. And they bring back the GL Guardians somehow in the frist book.
The current (2023 - Present) run looks like it is pickign up everything but the 2019-2020 run.
