Not Dead Yet

Summary

A flashback, ten years ago, in Hong Kong: Logan is having a very casual conversation and a drink with a man named McLeish. McLeish is talking about a time when he was hired to kill the husband of this woman, and how bringing back the head of her husband did not convince to the lady that he is dead. He then tells Logan of how he has killed 450 people in his lifetime, and how he was to the natives of Hong Kong a "Gweilo": a white ghost, "the best killer in the world", as Logan points out. Logan then leaves to take a woman named Ai-Chia to the movies.

A quarter till midnight, and Logan is seen with Ai-Chia heading back to her home. Her father, Wong Tak-Wah, was a famous chinese movie producer who produces successful Cantonese movies. Upon entering her home, they discover Wong Tak-Wah murdered on the floor. Logan instantly recognizes this as the work of McLeish as he sees McLeish fleeing the scene. He tells Ai-Chia to call the police as he gives chase after McLeish. A very exciting chase scene through the downtown of Hong Kong occurs, as Logan manages to kill the driver of McLiesh's car. Unfortuantely, McLeish swings his Cadillac into Logan, knocking him off of his motorcycle. McLeish seemingly escapes.

Down at the harbor, McLeish is seen accepting a briefcase full of cash from a movie producer who had Wong Tak-Wah killed because he had not loaned out his star to this man's production for one month. Suddenly, a motorcycle leaking gasoline is seen flying into McLeish's back, breaking his back. The producer fires his gun at Logan, only to have the gun ignite the leaking gasoline from the motorcycle. A huge explosion occurs, seemingly killing the corrupt producer and McLeish. Logan leaves the scene.

To the present we go where Logan is seen returning back to his apartment. Upon entering his apartment, he discovered the bloody corpse of a homeless guy whom he recognizes as the one who usually sheltered in front of his apartment building. He notices a picture of a dead Wong Tak-Wah on top of the corpse's head. On top of the desk was the Scotsman's knife that McLeish weilded in the past. He picks it up, only to hear a click. Realizing that he had armed a plastic explosive with adamantium shards on it, he quickly jumps out the window of his apartment before his entire floor explodes.

Another flashback to Hong Kong where Logan and McLeish was having a conversation again. McLeish comments how he had saw someone once cut Logan but the knife had shattered on his bone, and his wound healed in minutes. He points out how Logan was a "special" man like Captain America, but nevertheless, wasn't unkillable. Using a peach to prove his point, he shows how he had once saw a Japanese killer cut of the arm of a soldier by cutting through his arm and pulling the flesh off like a glove. He points out how although he, McLeish, wouldn't be able to cut through Logan's bone, he could always cut around it.

Back to the present, Logan realizes how McLeish must still be alive, and he was sincerely worried now because not only does McLeish think Logan still has the adamantium (which he doesn't), McLeish was one of the world's best killers who had a very good chance of killing him, and McLeish would target everyone Logan knows just to get to him.
