Summary

  Note: this is part 9 of the X-Cutioners's Song crossover and occurs after X-Factor 86.

  Logan, Bishop, and Cable fight Dark Riders and automated defenses on Stryfe's moon base. Bishop and Cable realize they need a strategy, and Gauntlet shoots Logan. Just then, the X-Men arrive. Stryfe looks on, enjoying his manipulation of his past. Then he takes Scott and Jean out to the lunar surface to finish things.

  In Westchester, Hank nurses Xavier.

  Betsy and Logan track Jean and Scott to a door, but when they open it, they realize it goes outside. Apocalypse goes off alone and runs into the Dark Riders, who prepare to kill him. Cannonball gets no answers from Cable, who knows how to fly Apocalypse's ship.

  Xavier wakes, screaming incoherently about all of them being ghosts in a machine, linked in love and hate and blood.

  Cable finds a facility surrounded by a force field that lets him and Havok through but knocks out Polaris and Cannonball. Stryfe is there, calling him "failed brother."
