Pressure Points
Summary

Note: this occurs after UXM 372.

Ororo called the Summerses because Xavier has turned mean. They arrive to find half the team ready to quit. Remy takes off before Scott can lecture him, promising to come back for Marrow. Xavier talks to Jean alone, then Scott.

The Mannites have reunited with Nina. They need her help; all sense something bad coming, especially Beautiful Dreamer, who refuses to wake up.

Rogue invites Kitty and Kurt to spend some time in the city. Kurt and Piotr struggle with Marrow's irrational behavior (do they know she's a teenage girl?), while she practices controlling her bone growths.

Bishop and Deathbird explore the asteroid, then she knocks him out with an energy weapon that he evidently can't absorb, saying she received a better offer.

Piotr and Marrow decide to vacation in Massachusetts; Xavier denounces them all as quitters and cowards, even Scott and Jean, who had retired to start a family, and he plans to recruit a new team.

Nina reads Beautiful Dreamer's mind, as Xavier taught her, and sees a monster coming to get them. She goes to the astral plane to find Xavier.

Wolverine offers to stay on, but Xavier has shared his mind (iss. 88) and rejects him outright, keeping only Ororo, telling her to contact X-Force. The X-Men have disbanded (third time, I think, with UXM 46 and 251).

Bishop wakes, wanders a desert, and finds a road sign for Las Vegas.

Nina's astral form passes through Jean. Xavier is unavailable, so Scott, Jean, and Wolverine offer to help.

Note: continued in the Astonishing X-Men limited series.
