Oh. The Humanity!

Summary

Note: this occurs after UXM 379.

All mutants have been reverted to basic humanity by the High Evolutionary's satellites. He feels justified in thus averting a race war and consults with his old mentor, Essex.

In Genosha, Bobby and Hank team up with Magneto's group to fight off the magistrates.

The UN Security Council convenes over the emergency, Huxley and Haller debate, but no action is taken.

Some mutants adjust to normal life and some don't. Kurt works out with a Danger Room simulation of himself, but the extra digits and lack of tail throw him off. Piotr has picked up his art career, and he advises Kurt to find a life away from the X-Men. Kitty is back in school; Warren and Betsy are visiting all the public beaches. Ororo and Marrow help out at a children's camp upstate; Marrow dates, but Ororo misses the weather. Rogue (too afraid to go to Remy, see next iss.), tries to get Mystique out of jail.

In a hidden community, Domina mourns the loss of her daughter, drowned when her mutant powers were lost, and plans revenge.

Logan saves Jubilee from a mugging. He is dying of adamantium poison. Moonstar sees a vision of Cable warning her; her powers are evolving.

Hank examines the Genoshan mutates, half-unmutated into horrible forms. Magneto sends them away, but Lorna stays.

Sinister reveals himself and locks the High Evolutionary in his own armor.

Note: for some reason, although the men's hair reverts to normal (Kurt, Hank), the women retain their vivid hues (Lorna, Ororo, Marrow).

  Note: continued in UXM 380.
