Summary
Scott and Xorn in cannons on a Shi'ar superdestroyer, about to be shot down into the atmosphere and incinerated. Scott tells Lilandra that Nova is in Xavier, but her mind is being controlled. She thinks she defeated Nova and the X-Men are infected with a psi-plague. She spits in Scott's face and orders all mutants exterminated.
Neosaurus leads a Shi'ar team to the mansion, where Logan ambushes it. Emma is captured, but the Cuckoos join minds and give Oracle a psychic roller-coaster ride. Angel punches Kato/Stuff, and the Cuckoos team with her despite their mutual loathing.
Jean telepathically forces the rest of the students to the vaults under the school, despite revulsion at invading their privacy. Hank tells her they don't stand a chance against Superguardians, especially with nano-Sentinels in their blood, but she's busy, so he goes to help Emma. Upstairs, he's attacked by two Superguardians, which he defeats, using his smell and hearing to find the invisible one.
Manta attacks Jean, psi-armored against her TK, so Jean beats her up and locks herself in with the students. Hank gets zapped, but Logan crashes in using a Shi'ar device to fly, and he and Hank let loose with claw and paw. Gladiator is called in, melts the wall, and ends it. Logan tries to reason with him, saying Nova took over Xavier.
Jean hears something, and Gladiator comes through the wall with Logan and Hank's battered forms. Plutonia found her lover Smasher (iss. 122), dying, he confirms Nova is controlling Lilandra. Hank starts researching a cure to the nano-Sentinels.
Xorn is tired of captivity, so Scott tells him to use the star in his head to attack G-Type, who is composed of solar plasma. It works; she disappears, and Xorn and Scott free themselves.
