Summary

Logan stands by a pile of dead Middle-Eastern slave traders, complaining they won't listen to reason but make him violate Xavier's pacifism. The last one raises a gun; Logan warns him and he drops it but then shoots Logan in the back, so he takes his hand off.

Logan sniffs the wind and finds a tent full of corpses; Fantomex is there. He says he met Jean and Xavier (iss. 128-130), wonders what Logan would pay for information, and calls him James (cf. Origin LS). He gives Logan the mutant slave girl who killed her captors when they tried to remove her birka. More mercenaries arrive; Fantomex disappears while Logan extends his claws.

Kashmiris hijack an Air India jet and head for New Delhi, but Xavier is aboard. He fiddles with their minds and has them sit down; they land as scheduled in Mumbai. Xavier assures the police the terrorists are no longer violent and assures them the police won't brutalize them. A sniper shoots at Xavier; Warpath warns him, and Jean uses TK to stop the bullet, which is alien. Feral and Thornn catch the attacker: Lilandra, who still thinks Xavier is Nova. Simultaneously, Araki clones emerge and get Xavier to accompany them in their alien limo: "the heavens are in turmoil."

Logan naps and heals at X-Corp's Mumbai base, where Sunfire has just returned from a mission in Russia. Because the local team has no psis, Jean jumpstarts their Cerebra and realizes Logan did return with Sooraya, the mutant he went to rescue. The team looks for her unsuccessfully, because she's turned herself to dust, and Jean tells her it's okay to resume human form. She says, "Turaab"; Logan wakes long enough to explain it means "dust," and it's all she says.

Xavier questions the Shi'ar; Araki 6 explains they're returning all X-Men (iss. 131) and evacuating; Lilandra is mentally broken, and the emergency senate has annulled her marriage to Xavier. Earth is to be "disinfected," because the Phoenix has hatched.
