Summary

  Kasey Nash finds Vulture with Spider-Man, and she barely escapes with her life after the Vulture slashes her Flyboy copter's wing. Gabriel escapes a near-death encounter of his own, as he drives away from two Fenris ready to kill him for his car. He ends up with one of their guns in his seat. Meanwhile, problems continue for ex-Sgt. Rico Estevez, as Alchemax repossesses all his property, for which Estevez would gladly kill Spider-Man. Tyler Stone and Hikaru-sama of Stark-Fujikawa exchange tense words over he Specialist affair. Then, Miguel's fiancee Dana comes to talk with Stone, who sees great opportunity for himself and for Alchemax with this new acquaintance. Continuing his search, Gabriel is startled and fires his gun blindly, finding that he just shot his girlfriend, Kasey.

  After recuperating, the Vulture explains to Spider-Man what Downtown is: the refuge for the dregs of humanity, dominated by various cliques of which the Vulture's Freakers is the largest. He claims he was created by and broke away from an Indy (independent city corporation). The Vulture wants to rule the skies, which he claims Alchemax has taken over, and he wants Spider-Man's help. Spider-Man is incensed when he sees that the Vulture is eating the remains of the guards he killed. Their fight wages on.
