Summary
Spider-Man survived his fall into Downtown, helping a Miss Quan from two scummy "protection service" Watchdogs. As Spider-Man tries to figure out where he is and how badly he's injured, Tyler Stone and his right- (and two-left-) hand man, Winston, fire Sgt. Estevez from the Public Eye with prejudice for disobeying orders to not attack Spider-Man. Sgt. Estevez is the father of the Estevez of the previous issues. The Alchemax CEO, who is "very familiar with [Spidey's] predecessor", expresses his disappointment with Stone in not maneuvering Spider-Man into an honor vendetta with their rivals, Stark-Fujikawa. Stone sends the Public Eye to find Spider-Man, as Kasey Nash and Gabriel separately begin hunts of their own. Spider-Man manages to get to Dr. Morrow at "Docs in a Box", who also happened to be a Thorite, who saves his "harbinger". As both the Public Eye and the Watchdogs converge on the S-Man, the Vulture appears and whisks Spidey away after he slices everyone else to shreds.
