Summary

  The NYPD interrogates X-Force about the recent killings (iss. 52).

  Sunspot tells how Selene drained the life-force out of Absalom, and X-Force was unable to stop her.

  Siryn tells that Gideon's penthouse imploded, James is missing, and Caliban is hospitalized.

  An uncooperative Shatterstar is called "Benjamin" by the police, who have a record on him (see iss. 46), to his great surprise.

  Domino refuses to speak.

  Meltdown tells how Crule attacked Selene, only to be drained by her, as well. Then Cable arrived with a TK bolt, but Selene manipulated his energies and knocked him down. She said there is a war coming, the Externals outlived their purpose, and Sam is not an External. She disappeared into mist, Blaquesmith pops in to remove the fallen Cable, and the police show up and arrest them all.

  Det. Jones releases the team, but says she can't continue to protect them. In the parking deck, she is accosted by Bastion, who believes in zero-tolerance.
