Summary
Note: this occurs after X-Men II:87.
Logan sneaks past Genoshan security, planning to kill Magneto, to avenge himself and to protect Xavier's dream. Magneto's security detects him, though, and he encases him in metal in mid-air. End program: it was a Danger Room simulation, which Ororo has fiddled with to get Logan to snap out of it. He tells her off and restarts the program.
Xavier goes to the UN to see Huxley, who has taken over his old job as mutant expert. He berates her for giving Genosha to Magneto, a first step toward world domination. She wants answers about his affiliation with the X-Men. Stalemate.
Magneto flies to Genosha with Ferris (a much more appropriate yes-man than Toad). He sees news coverage of protests outside the UN, so he smashes the TV with his helmet.
Rogue mourns Joseph, and Remy gives her space. X-Men old and new have assembled for the funeral at the nearby mission house, but even Kitty can't get Logan out of the Danger Room. As the eulogy, Xavier asks them all to open their minds and shares Joseph's last feelings with them. In Central America, Sister Maria senses Joseph's passing and sheds a tear.
The X-Men confront Logan, saying he shouldn't murder. Just then, an alien interrupts and ports them all away.
