Rage Against the Machine
Summary
Note: this occurs after X-Men II:90.
Aboard the Skrull ship, Xavier, unconscious, dreams. He sees the X-Men who have died, then sees all his X-Men dead in the future. He concentrates and remembers Ejulp accidentally sending them to the Skrull world, just in time to see Galactus devour it. He looks within to see who has breached his mind, and cries out.
Awake, he gets his bearings. Kitty says the ship automatically put them in stasis when the E-M pulse hit, and they lost 8 days. (Note: Logan has been replaced by a Skrull replicant, see iss. 375.)
X-51 is under fire and gets zapped and captured by SHIELD, who want spare parts for Project: Deathlok.
Marrow adjusts to being beautiful. She tells Remy she's not angry he hurt her and thanks him for healing her. Kitty flies the ship to Muir, since it's too big to land in Salem Center. They call Rogue to let her know they're okay.
SHIELD scientists dissect X-51 and receive a severely burnt agent in a survival pod. Fury is furious to learn they grafted him into a cybernetic body, on Sole's authority. He's concerned about mutants (cf. Cable 62) and has sent a squad to Muir.
Kitty docks in the cove, happy to revisit Excalibur's old stomping grounds. Xavier is agitated and insists they immediately return home, leaving Kitty, Kurt and Piotr behind to visit. Moira is out of town with Sean, but they see a light in the guest cottage. They expect to find Douglock but hear a SHIELD ship land and find a large field of T-O ashes. Douglock emerges from the ground beneath SHIELD.
Note: continued in X-Men II:91.
