Summary
Note: continued from X-Men II:99.
Hank explains that Genoshan mutates are deteriorating, and all organic life will soon follow, because of the High Evolutionary. They realize Sinister is involved and decide to stop them (with the help of Skrull hardware, recently installed), even though they will become mutants again. Logan, dying of adamantium poisoning, insists on helping.
Sinister realizes that non-mutant superheroes won't let them alone for long, and he figures out how to evolve New Men.
Mystique is freaking out in jail and lashes out at Rogue. Magneto and his Acolytes are losing their battle with the Genoshan flatscans. He has confidence the X-Men will save the day.
The team breaks into the space station; Sinister tests them against his New Men. Logan picks up Sinister's scent and slashes him. Sinister blasts him, but he doesn't die: Kitty realizes their powers are returning. Ororo and Logan smash up the control station, which frees the High Evolutionary, and he voluntarily destroys his life's work, devolves the New Men, and apologizes. Sinister flees in the X-Men's shuttle.
Across the world, mutant powers are restored. Blob gets fat, Omega Red gets deadly, Jean gets a headache, and Mystique gets herself out of jail and plots revenge. Lorna impersonates Magneto to reestablish his control of Genosha and shares her power with him.
Note: X-Men: Revolution flyer is included with this issue, previewing changes in all the X-books.
