Summary

  Logan knows Daredevil's religious, and normally he'd be nice and let him say a prayer before popping claws in his head, but he's not sweet anymore. Elektra's on the roof across the street with a sniper rifle and some SHIELD agents. SHIELD has been worried about the super-powered heroes, but she knew Daredevil would be the Hand's target. She fires at Logan's head but misses.

  Daredevil kicks Logan off him and into the wall; Logan realizes it was Elektra. She's only loved once: him, even though he's moved on: "you're the biggest himbo that ever wore a pair of tights."

  Elektra is shocked she missed; the Gorgon shows up behind her, gloating; she turns and fires, but he lunges forward and starts taking down SHIELD agents. He can see her thoughts, her fear, the images of Daredevil and her father's death. She hopes more SHIELD will arrive, but they're stretched thin and 18 minutes away; this will be over before that. SHIELD opens fire, but he twirls his sword and blocks all the bullets. He tells Elektra to close her eyes for a moment and takes off his dark shades; his eyes glow green, and the rest of the SHIELD agents turn to stone. He knows she has a history with both the Hand and Hydra, and he offers to settle it now. He tosses her a sword.

  Wolverine knows SHIELD doesn't give enough credit to the street fighters; they don't have fancy armor or magic hammers, so their skills have to be the best. Daredevil throws a club, nearly missing Logan and taking out three ninjas. He tells Logan he's been brainwashed; Logan wrestles with him and thinks he's the one who's brainwashed, lawyer all day and hero all night, thinking he's one of the good guys. Logan knows how long he has till SHIELD shows up and plans to slice Daredevil in pieces before then, but Daredevil hits him in the head with a dumbbell, knocking him down into a sword, impaling his chest.

  Elektra is no match for the Gorgon. Running out of time, he grabs her sword, bites it apart, and beats on her. He says the Struckers are monitoring; the baroness is impressed with her and has offered him Hydra if the baron's plan fails. They plan to use Reed's terraformer to "make man as free as he was before birth… we won't have to be God's slaves anymore." Elektra is defeated.

  Daredevil checks on Logan, who's in shock but free of mind control. It may not last; he gives him a message for Fury: they're going after the President tomorrow. He apologizes for letting them capture another hero; Daredevil reminds him he beat him, but Logan says he was just the bait. The Struckers have been monitoring and space-shift Logan away for repairs.

  Daredevil walks upstairs and surveys the damage. He checks the bullet hole in the window and guesses it was Elektra. She's on a slab, under control of the Hand.
