Splitting

Summary

  Working on Dana, Tyler gives his version of history between himself and Miguel. He tells Dana that Miguel wanted to experiment with designer drugs, and it was his carefully concocted, bad-tripping, non-addictive Rapture that cut those urges short. Tyler says his wife passed away unexpectedly and Kron was gunned down by some madman, still at large. Dana is buying it. Conchata spies on them, disgusted by Tyler's actions. Gabriel still can't tell Kasey the truth during their intimate vacation. Spider-Man rejects Flipside, who responds by crying and then killing a Forager for butting in. Spider-Man searches for a way to shut Flipside down, and the android becomes suspicious. Spider-Man temporarily destroys Flipside, and leaves the Foragers' base. Flipside repairs himself quickly enough to slaughter the entire group. Miguel returns to Nightshade and finds Xina. Xina is angry with Spider-Man for not saving Angela. Emotions all jumbled, Miguel walks away from Xina, preferring to hide a little more.

  Miguel decides not to testify at Kron's expulsion hearing. Xina's pleas for Miguel to fight Kron fall on deaf ears. Miguel dreams of what could happen if Tyler Stone steps in to protect his son (breaking up his family, humiliation). Xina's testimony is not good enough, but Miguel is already looking to leave the school.
