Summary

  Malone and Conners have failed to kill Lorna twice (iss. 95-96).

  Storm, Xavier, Moira, Rahne, and Guido spend some quality time together, while Alex flies to Hawaii alone.

  Lorna researches Random's career and finds he is not a maniac killer. They and Forge go after the people that are trying to kill her, only to be attacked by Malone, Avalanche and the Commando. Malone tells Forge to back off because it is a national security matter, but they fight, instead. Malone, facing an investigation, commits suicide.

  Conners arrives by chopper and explains that her "Polaris Project" was part of the "Magneto Protocols": Lorna was to be the US's last defense against Magnus. She promises an investigation (and wears Malice's choker; see Uncanny X-Men 219, 250, X-Factor 39).

  Lorna flies off to Hawaii after Alex.
