Summary

  Val has no explanation for Bowser as to why X-Factor has broken ties with the government. Forge and Mystique's bodies have not been recovered from the Potomac, nor have the rest of the team been found in the remains of the Falls Edge base. Bowser orders a team into the base to secure Forge's technology for the government. One by one the team is killed by Forge's security, and Bowser finally lets Val order the building sealed when a biohazard starts leaking out.

  Turns out it is all a put on, because Forge wants the government to stay away from the base, while X-Factor starts policing mutants on their own.

  Jamie visits Guido in the hospital and is accosted there by Havok, who again asks him to join the Brotherhood, and is again rejected.
