Summary

  X-Factor trains in a virtual reality New York, year 2013. The program goes awry, however, when Forge is able to "kill" the Blob and Sabretooth Wolverine. Shard is also pulled in, and Kyle stops Sabretooth from attacking her.

  Alex is an unconscious captive of the Dark Beast. Random tells him he is going to protect Polaris, but Fatale reminds him that the Dark Beast expects him just to spy on X-Factor. Lorna welcomes him as a friend.

  Val reports to her boss, and chooses not to tell him about Shard.
