Summary

  Nate meditates to envision the future and see his own death. He sees himself fighting in Egypt over Apocalypse's tomb and destroying half the world.

  He is sitting in Canada with Maddie and has blasted the surrounding tundra. She wants him back; he's not interested.

  Nate has awakened the Great Beasts, of Native American folklore and Alpha Flight fame. They attack, and Maddie ports away.

  On a secret island in the Caribbean, Ness, a witness, awakes, and goes to the Yukon to stop Nate.
