Summary

  Fontaine is an 18-year-old girl from San Francisco and a Psi-Ops soldier. They are all psi-blind now (see X-Men II:77), but they still have guns. Ness consults with Slaine, trying to find Nate again.

  Nate attacks Nemesis, who armors up and reveals himself. Maddie ports them to Pike's Peak before they get hurt, but Nate demands she return him before Nemesis kills again.

  She does; he uses psi-armor and illusions and tricks Nemesis into blasting all his energy skyward, where Maddie ports it away harmlessly.

  Nemesis disappears; he later stows aboard a ship to New York to find Dark Beast, killing en route. Nate and Maddie stay with the grateful MacAleers for a while.
