Summary
Maddie finds Nate unconscious at Haneys; Nate repays their kindness by telekinetically fixing up the joint. They are accepting of his mutant powers. Maddie refuses to port him to the X-Men to fix his telepathy.
Ness has the remains of one of the Tech-Gnomes. He decides his former life is over and he is now the Witness.
Blaquesmith, in shadows, catalogs the Tech-Gnome tests.
A mysterious being lurks and incinerates people, so Maddie and Nate impersonate agents MacScully and O'Mulder, and find from the police that it is linked to AOA radiation. Nate, thinking he is murdering in his sleep, flies into space to kill himself, with a Phoenix effect. Maddie pops in, gives him her breath, and makes him take a breather and realize someone else from AOA is responsible.
They return to Dublin to interrupt him before he kills again. He looks just like Nate, on fire.
