Summary
As part of the Onslaught storyline (Impact 2), we see Wolverine at the scene of a fire. He boldly rescues a little boy inside the burning apartment complex. While coming out, he encounters an old man in green who leads them in the direction through the fire. Wolverine and the little boy escapes. Although burned very badly, his mutant healing ability heals him instantly, and he goes back into the building to save the old man.
Wolverine reenters the complex to save the old man, only to realize that the old man was the one known as Stick, Elektra's sensei and master of the chaste. They fight on top of the roof while arguing about whether Stick is teaching Wolverine to regain his humanity. Stick counters by saying that it was he, Logan, himself who took the humanity out of himself by allowing himself after the encounter with Magneto to degenerate. Stick tells him the only way to regain his humanity is to help himself.
In the end, Human Torch makes an appearance, telling Wolverine that the heroes are about to coordinate their offense against Onslaught. This leads up to Marvel Universe: Onslaught.
