Summary
A showdown occurs between Wolverine and his three mysterious rescuers against the Administrator and his Watchtower henchmen. Wolverine fights his way through to the Administrator, only to discover that the Administrator wasn't real, but rather, a "hard light energy projection". The holographic image tells Wolverine he was brought to the compound for a single purpose (to obtain a sample of his blood to learn about his healing abilities), and that beyond that, he wasn't needed. The holographic image phases out. Wolverine rejoins the other three in their fight against the Watchtower henchmen. As they were fighting, Wolverine asks the lead of the three rescuer why he called the Administrator "Father". He wouldn't answer, though he did reveal his name to be Geronimo Crowe. Geronimo tells Hardwire, a huge robot among the three, to do a scan of the complex and locate any other mutants being held.
Meanwhile, Deadpool and two Watchtower men were leading an unconscious Siryn (still in her capsule, surrounded by a chemical compound that, according to Deadpool: "...composed of mutant growth hormones ...") away. Suddenly, Hardwire bursts through a wall, with Wolverine, Geronimo, and Shooter (the third person) following behind. Wolverine felt he had some unfinished business with Deadpool, and proceeds to start a fight with Deadpool. Only until Hardwire steps in (whom Deadpool refers to as a "... Sentinel with Dreadlocks ...") does the fight stop. Shooter, feeling that Deadpool was talking too much, threatens to shoot him. Deadpool attacks, and Shooter opens fire. Deadpool is knocked back, and crashes into the capsule that Siryn was in. The capsule breaks, spilling out the chemical and Siryn. Siryn wakes up, confused, but also shocked that she can speak again. Siryn demands to know from Wade (Deadpool) whether he was responsible for everything. Wolverine tells her that the people who helped her get her voice back had wanted Wolverine to study and to attempt to replicate his healing factor. They had employed Deadpool to apprehend Wolverine in exchange for restoring her vocal cords.
Geronimo had no bone to pick with Deadpool, and says that he was going to go after the Administrator. Wolverine agrees, and joins with Geronimo. Deadpool says he was going to take Siryn home, and Siryn flies herself and Deadpool away, now that her powers had been restored. Wolverine tries to get Geronimo to explain what his relationship is with the Administrator, but Geronimo tells him to put that question off, saying that he'll explain it later, but for right now, Wolverine wouldn't understand yet, and to only trust him for now.
Later, the four breaks into another compound where they suspected the Administrator to be. The holographic image of the Administrator makes another appearance, but tells Logan that although Logan will keep trying to find him, he'd never get close enough to him, and that his organization will make good use of Wolverine's "gifts" that they had taken from him. The hologram disappears, leaving the four alone. Wolverine tells them that he won't rest until he exposes what the Watchtower was planning on doing.
