Summary
Back in Madripoor, Lindsay and Wolverine waits at the bar where Jessica was supposedly bringing the sword to meet with the contact. Logan tells Lindsay to stay downstairs for her own safety, and Logan then procedes upstairs to find Jessica.
Of course, it was already too late, as when Logan enters the room, he discovers that he was too late, for inside the room, many had already been slaughtered by the wielder of the "Dai-Katana". But Wolverine encounters the Silver Samurai, who knows his secret identity as Patch, and Samurai warns Logan to stay away, for it was not his business. Logan and Samurai battle it out, only to be intruded by Jessica Drew, who was wielding the soul-corrupting sword. The battle between all three moves downstairs, and Logan, in an attempt to stop the fight, uses his claws and cuts through the wall, causing the building to collapse. Silver Samurai is taken out (uninjured because his armor protected him), but Jessica with the sword manages to escape. Logan goes after Jessica while Lindsay procedes to free the Silver Samurai (despite his pass deeds that were done against her).
Logan encounters Jessica, and they fight. Fighting to virtually a standstill, Logan grabs her sword and pulls it away from her. Right before he kills her, the sword though senses Logan's warrior-spirit, and instead, captures Logan's soul and releases Jessica. Now Logan has been corrupted, and it's up to Jessica and Samurai to stop him.
