Summary

Logan has been possessed by the evil spirit of the Muramasa sword, and he intends to sacrifice Jessica. He escapes into the flame, and Silver Samurai and Lindsay just barely escapes the wrath of the fire. Silver Samurai believes the flames were to cover his trail, but Lindsay believed that there still was a way to track him down.

Knowing that O'Donnell held the three cultists that had attempted to capture Lindsay in Wolverine #1, Lindsay employs his help to wring out the information from the three cultists on the whereabouts of their hideout (where Lindsay and Samurai believed Logan had taken Jessica to for the sacrifice). Lindsay pulls of a very convincing "psychotic" performance in front of the three captured cultists, as she pretends to torment and kill one of the cultist in the shadows, thus scaring the other cultists to speak. Silver Samurai afterwards thought Lindsay really did torment and kill one of the cultists, but Lindsay reveals that it was all an act, making torment sounds with her own voice.

After finding out where the hideout was (an old highland temple in the middle of nowhere), Samurai, O'Donnell, and Lindsay arrives there. Lindsay and Samurai enters the compound. Samurai tells Lindsay that she must kill Patch first before Patch kills Jessica. Armed with a modified Heckler & Koch (type of rifle), Lindsay was very hesistant to kill Patch, for she felt that he was only possessed like Jessica was, and that therefore, he's innocent. But at the last minute, she chose to shoot at Patch.

Thinking she killed Patch, Lindsay attempts to rescue Jessica while the Silver Samurai dealt with the other cult members. But Patch was not dead at all, and was about to slay Lindsay for interfering. Samurai steps in, and he and Logan embarks on a swordfight. Logan's Muramasa sword breaks Samurai's sword, but Lindsay manages to shoot Logan before he sliced Samurai. But that doesn't help much. Logan, though, manages to fight the spirit of the sword since Logan didn't want to kill his friends, and hurls his sword away. Logan and Jessica soon regains their own consciousness. Samurai picks up the Muramasa sword. Logan was about to kill him, but then sees that Samurai didn't change like everyone else had. Samurai explains that it was probably because he and the sword were alike in that they were both consumed by the warrior-spirit. In the end, Samurai departs on his way, and Logan and the others on their way.
