Summary
The place: Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Logan was paying a visit to one of his old buddies from Alpha Force: Puck, who was helping out a female friend as a substitute bouncer for her in a bar.
Meanwhile, in Osaka, Japan, two cops come upon this weird-looking lady, who was Lady Deathstrike. She was investigating the crime scene where Logan had fought Goro in Wolverine #33. The policemen tried to apprehend her, but she kills them with her physically-altered cyborg hands.
After killing them, she links up with the police car's computer to search for Logan. She also learns of how he was associated with Tyger Tiger. Pierce, one of her associates, then transfers her to where he was. She demands to him that he tells Gateway to take her to Madripoor where she can find Tiger. After transporting her there, she threatens to kill an innocent bystander unless Tiger tells her what she wants to know as to the whereabouts of Logan. One of Tyger's associates, Jade-faced Lum, convinces her to just give her what she wants, since once she lets go of the girl, they can cap her. She tosses her a postcard that Logan had sent her, but before they could cap her, she was teleported out of there. The postcard was from Vancouver.
Back in Vancouver, Logan and Puck were enjoying a nice quiet fishing trip on a small boat. They were talking about old times, and Logan was talking about this one picture that Puck had dropped which had Puck when he had his "normal" size in it. In the meantime, Deathstrike had just told Gateway to take her to Vancouver to the place where Wolevrine was "gazing upon that very moment." Little did she know, Logan was thinking about the late 1930s where that photo was taken place. Deathstrike suddenly appears, but the vortex that sent her there pulls all of them back into the 1930s. Logan and Puck appears in the middle of a bull-fight arena, where, of all people, Ernest Hemingway was watching. Puck remembers this, and wanted the opportunity to fight the bull one more time since he had his full-size back. But after he defeats the bull and the crowds were cheering, they were attacked by Stuka Dive-bombers. After Logan disables one of the Stuka that was heading their way with a sword, they escape with Hemingway and his fiancé in Hemingway's car.
And meanwhile, Lady Deathstrike is captured by a German Captain, Horst Schlachter, who viewed her as one who was against the Republic, wand was going to hang her from a telephone post.
