Dreams of Gore

Phase One

Summary

  Logan, Jubilee, and their guide Harry Tabeshaw are up somewhere in Alberta, Canada, where they encounter an abandoned nuclear research facility in the middle of nowhere. Harry refuses to go in, saying that no wild animals had ever been noticed to venture into the compound. Still, Logan enters the compound, and Jubilee didn't have much of a choice but to enter as well. As Logan wanders around, he feels that he has been here before, but somehow, he couldn't remember it. On rollerblades, Jubes discovers in a garage an old Lotus Seven (a car) with the keys still in the ignition.

  As he gets behind the wheels of it, he is suddenly overcome by a memory of him being abducted in his car by three men in long trench coats who managed to haul Logan off to "the professor" after pistol-whipping him.

  Next thing he knows, he is on the ground, and Jubilee was standing in front of him. He tells her he had some kind of crazy daydream, wondering if it was a fragment of real memory. Jubilee tells him that she had discovered a door with claw marks that was unlocked. Upon entering that chamber, Logan is then overcome by another memory of himself being an uncontrolled Weapon X project. Next thing he knows, he has his claws extended and was almost about to attack Jubilee, who had found a gun in his compartment.

  After Jubilee shows him the gun and he has it in his hands, Logan is overwhelmed by another memory of him and Sabretooth as partners that was on a sting operation on arms trafficking. They were involved in a major shootout, where each side was killing each other. Silver Fox, who was involved in the other side, was almost about to kill them. And as this scene goes on, we see subheadings talking about the Weapon X project..on how they implant false memories in their subjects and how they would be as close to reality as possible, which would help to severe trauma, thus disallowing the sensation of pain.

  Next thing Logan knows, he's back into reality. Logan feels too confused in here, since it was making too many unanswered questions pop up. He and Jubilee leaves.
