Summary
Seeking the aid of Jean Grey and Professor X, they help Wolverine to identify his memories more thoroughly by giving him the opportunity to interact with his memories.
Logan's first memory that he interacts in is back to the Weapon X project when he had just broken free after the adamantium bonding process. Finding another door, (Professor had told Logan to look for certain symbolic doors that might represent something in his memories), he encounters Sabretooth. Following Sabretooth, he enters another room, where he and Sabretooth were under alias names and were on some mission for the United States CIA. In some bar, they hear about the news of JFK's assassination. Next thing they know, some soldiers burst in, finding out about Logan and Sabretooth's cover. Logan manages to escape through a back door, but instead, upon opening it, it was empty, yet blocked.
Back into reality, Professor X explains to Logan how that door was one of those that had been sealed off from Logan, perhaps within it is his real memories, but have some deadly triggers that could cause Logan to lose it. Logan though is willing to take the risk, and reenters his memories
He finds himself back in the room where he, Sabretooth, and Mastodon had busted an illegal operation, where they had killed all the smugglers, with only Silver Fox surviving. After Sabretooth and Mastodon leaves, Logan asks Fox if remembered him. She says she remembers him. Logan asks her a whole bunch of question about certain stuff that they had shared together, and she kept replying yes. But he didn't realize that she was manipulating him, and she manages to get Logan's gun. But Logan still wouldn't accept that the moments that he believed he had shared with her were fake. After slifcing through the walls, he finds himself in a weird place, a place where it was like a stage set that was made out of magazine clippings, etc. He wonders what exactly is true and what is not true in his memories.
Next thing he knows, he finds himself once again as Weapon X, under attack by those soldiers from the Weapon X project. He is mobbed, but yet, next thing he knows, he is brought back into reality by Jean. Unknown to Logan, he had been acting very violent, and Logan and Jean had to restrain him by using some drugs. Logan is mad because they didn't allow him to research his memories further, and leaves for some air.
Meanwhile, as he rides off, we see how a woman named Hines was calling someone in the US Senate about how they were tracking Logan, and how he's getting too close to finding out about the project. The person that she had called was the professor, and he tells her not to worry, for al the memories that Logan unravels will lead him to Shiva.
