Summary

Out on his motorcycle in the streets of Manhattan, New York City, Logan rides his bike into some building, and hops aboard an elevator. We are at first confused as to why Logan does this, but we soon learn that on top of this building is located the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier where Nick Fury commanded from. Bypassing the S.H.I.E.L.D. personnels, he breaks into the Helicarrier in a big way, demanding that he be able to obtain access to the national security files on himself and who had been in charge of the project.

The next day in Washington DC, Logan barges into the U.S. Department of Agriculture to demand to talk with the Professor-Guy who was the director of the Pest Control Section. Logan knew that he was the one that was in charge of the Weapon X project that Logan had been an unwilling participant in. He says to the secretary that if he wanted to go one on one with the professor, he could've done it now, but he decides to do it legally...starting off with evidence from the warehouse in Windsor, Ontario. Behind the door, Hines and Professor heard everything that was said outside, and they head up to where Logan was going to be.

Obtaining the assistance of his fellow X-Men Cyclops, Jean Grey, Jubilee, and Professor Xavier Logan dons his original (the blue and yellow) suit to do his investigation in the warehouse. Wolverine enters alone. Inside the warehouse, logan is shocked as to seeing how many soundstages there were. Logan is very upset because he is wondering as to if his whole past was a cheap movie set. As he continues wandering through the many different stages, he recalls all those memories that he had once believed to be true, but now, might not be true after all.

Meanwhile, through an alleyway, the Professor and Hines enters through a back door, and heads to the control room where they observe what Wolverine was doing. Logan had stepped in a trap door, but he managed to stop his fall by grappling the side wall with his claws. Later, he finds a huge vault door that was solid, one that Logan could not cut through. Using the key that he had obtained back while he was exploring in Wolverine #48, Logan opens the door, only to discover behind the door some mechanical creature known as Shiva. Using his claws, Logan quickly dismembers Shiva. But, upstairs in the control room, the Professor launches another Shiva loose. Another Shiva comes out to do battle with Logan. The Professor explains to Hines that Shiva was only a program, but the killer robot was just a tool that learns from its mistakes. This new Shiva fights Wolverine

Meanwhile, back on the waiting blackbird, Professor X and Jubilee had broken into the files of the Weapon X programs, learning how its purpose had been t ocreate a pool of super-soldiers by mind-wiping their memories and replacing them with false ones that, when activated, could be used to control them. Jubilee finds a listing of seven names, including Wolverine and Sabretooth and Silver Fox, with Wolverine's name on top. Professor X suspects that this might be some type of priority order, of which Wolverine would be the first to be "deactivated".

Back down below, Logan and Shiva continues to do battle. In the control room, though, a mysterious figure breaks in, knocks out hines, and threatens the professor, whose name is revealed to be Andre by the mysterious figure, Silver Fox. Fox is shocked at her discovery of the sets, wondering if her memories, too, were true or not. Back to the fight, Shiva had activated Wolverine's neural implants in his brain, causing a flood of suppressed trauma to overwhealm Logan. Momentarily, he is stunned, writhing in pain. But he manages to fight it off, and destroy this Shiva. Professor X and the rest just arrives in time to see this Shiva deactivated, after realizing that it was, indeed, a prioritized listing of the Weapon X patients to be deactivated.

They make their way to the control room, where they discover Professor Andre dead. Hines was coming to, and she saw how the professor was dead, but his hook (which was his hand) had been on both the reset and default switches on the Shiva override, and had saw all the Shiva robots that were created filing out, chanting the name Sabretooth. Wolverine figured that it was now Sabretooth's problem, and he didn't give a care about it. Professor X though feared that from that day on, Wolverine was not going to be the same again.
