Summary

Down in the Danger Room, a "new" Wolverine is seen being tested at the maximum threat for the full-scale solo combat mode, and he was having no problem with it. Professor X, Jubilee, Cyclops, Storm, and Forge are seen monitoring Wolverine's performance in the control room. Seeing how Wolverine easily disabled all the simlated robots that were in the program, Professor X has Logan put on a virtual reality suit. He programmed the VR so that Logan was pitted against a pixel-ized Ogun and Shingen. Logan thought it would be easy, until he discovered that he could be hurt, too, when a few of his pixels was chopped off by Ogun's sword. But once he realizes this, he disables the two simulated enemies promptly. Seeing this, Professor X and Forge agrees to explore this further by including simulated versions of Lady Deathstrike and Sabretooth along with Ogun and Shingen to fight Wolverine. While monitoring his brain-wave pattern, he discovers how his brain-wave pattern had regressed to the emotional response of a killer ape, yet he retains his fluid-like complex fighting skills. Jubilee asks what had happened in Canada that caused him to do this. Professor X replies that he suspects that this was the original, true self of Logan.

After taking a shower, Logan heads out to Auger Inn to hang out there and play some pool. Jubilee wanted to come along, but Logan wouldn't take her. At Auger Inn, while playing pool, Logan meets this mysterious female, who he buys a drink with, dances with, and is invited to her motel room.

Back at the X-Mansion, Jubilee can't sleep, and she decides to go find out where Logan is. She finds Logan's motorcycle at a motel. She decides to investigate. Coming out of a room, Jubilee was shocked to see Jean Grey there. She leaves back for the X-mansion, in the process, knocking over Logan's motorcycle. Back in the room, we discover that it really wasn't Jean Grey, but instead, it was Mystique who was shapeshifting. Logan asks her why she was doing this, since it really wasn't at all like Mystique to be full of fear, for that was what she smelled on her. Mystique says they've got a "mystery guest" who was insane, and she didn't want to say her name for she'd know.

Back in New York City, Albert, Elsie Dee, and Hunter in Darkness were finally ready to leave the Morlock tunnels. Now that she was fixed, and Albert had totally redesigned the stealth bomber to be twice as stealthy now, they were finally free to roam the globe in search of adventure (since their programming for destroying Wolverine no longer exists now).

Returning to the mansion, Jubilee sees Jean Grey there, realizing that that couldn't have been her at the motel.

Back at the motel room, Wolverine figured out who Mystique was talking about. Mystique warns him not to say it since she would be able to hear it. Logan though says it, and indeed, she appears suddenly. She was Spiral.
