Summary

Somewhere in the Australian outback, Logan and Jubilee are walking through a long-abandoned facility full of damaged Sentinels from a fight that occured between the Sentinels and Pierce and his followers. As they travel through, they discover reminiscent of the fight that had occured in the past, as well as Pierce's laboratory. As they travel through, little do they realize this one place contained a deactivated Sentinel, which was nearly fully submerged within a saline solution. Surrounding it were severed power cables that still sparked with power. Logan shuts down the power cables since they were of no use anymore. In doing so, the Sentinel suddenly powers up. As Logan and Jubilee continues through their journey through the compound, the Sentinel begins to repair itself. Its sensors detects Jubilee and Logan, and begins to locate them.

Meanwhile, Logan and Jubilee stumbles upon one of Gateway's timegates. Jubilee makes the mistake of sticking her hand into it, which nearly pulls her into it had it not been for Wolverine who grabs her. The half of her body which passed through the timegate witnesses Jubilee's parents on the day that they died. Inside, Jubilee sees how two people came to their door and asked Jubilee's mother wheter there was a Dr. Lee there. She replies yes, and her mother and her father are forced out of the apartment. Right before they shoot Jubilee, Logan pulls her out. Jubilee is furious because she now knows that her parents' death wasn't an accident, but rather, was murder, and she wanted revenge. She tells Logan how after her parents' death, her neighbors, whose last name also were Lees, offered to take her into her home. She couldn't stand them, and runs away. Only now does she realize that the truth was that the two people who killed her parents were actually looking for her neighbors, and had killed her parents in error.

Meanwhile, the Sentinel wanders outside and encounters the dark sky. It is left in wonderment at the stars, and begins to ponder its true purpose. It finds Wolverine and Jubilee. They at first thought it was bad. Then after hearing how it had overrode its prime directive, they thought it was good. But the Sentinel replies that its true purpose was to help bring back the Sentinels and help its own kind to survive, and to do that, it would go back into the past to when the sentinels had been deactivated and change history. Logan and Jubilee tries to stop it, but the Sentinel manages to grab a hold of Jubilee and prevent Wolverine from stopping it.
