Deathstalk: A Test of Mettle

Summary

Out in the harsh northern Canadian wilderness, Logan continues to elude Cylla and Bloodscream for the last four weeks. He leaves his bike in Heath Junction, which is the last town on the northern part of the Canadian map in the care of Cooley, who operates a railroad storehouse there. He continues his trek north into uncharted territory.

Meanwhile, behind, Cylla and Bloodscream are still giving chase, though they are getting quite low on nourishment. Bloodscream ends up kidnapping Cooley and sucks his blood when he became hungry. Cylla, on the other hand, kills a bird for nourishment. Cylla asks Bloodscream whether he was human. Bloodscream said he was of woman born (that is, he was human), and that back in the days when he was a naval surgeon in the ship company of Francis Drake (check your history books if you don't remember this famous seasman), how he had been severly injured one day and was left in the care of a "heathen necromancer" named Dagoo, who makes him into the undead. In doing so, before he kills Dagoo, Bloodscream obtains the secret of the potion that would make him immortal, he would need the blood of an immortal, and after many centuries, he sees Logan as an immortal because in a timespan of 50 years that he saw Logan in between World War II and in Madripoor, Logan had not appeared to age a bit. The only way he could be killed, though, is by a metal that is not made by man. (Little does he know that Logan's sword if of an alloy that is not made by man).

After leaving a decoy in the snow a ways back (a wolf's skin that Logan was using for warmth), in the town of Logan, we find Logan (the man) eating there. He was going to call Cooley about the motorcycle until the waitress tells him how they found Cooley dead, and the motorcycle had been brought up to their town because of the name "Logan" that was on the motorcycle. Logan (the man) realizes that Cylla and Bloodscream were close now.

Outside, as Wolverine tries to start his motorcycle, Cylla and Bloodscream finally arrives, though both lacked the strength to fight him. Bloodscream mercilessly drains the blood of Cylla, killing her, so that he could fight Logan, but Logan manages to start his bike, and using the honor sword of the Yashidas, he slices Bloodscream, presumably, killing him since the sword was of an alien material
