Summary

  Upon entering the room, Logan discovers the possessed mime in there, though the voice Logan just could not seem to remember, even though he know he has heard it before. What caught his attention, though, was that the mime was juggling the box, which Zoe Colloden (the Expediter) had left for him to protect from Wolverine #111. Logan takes a swipe at the Mime, which causes him to stop juggling, but in the process, the box tumbles onto the ground, triggering a memory in him.

  Back in Shanghai, when Logan was still pre-adamantiumnized, while singing and drinking on the street, he recalls this old man whose relic had fallen on the street. He was babbling about how its secrets were too dangerous to fall into the wrong hands. Desparately trying to get it back while being pursued by Japanese Imperial soldiers, the old man was hit by the butt of the rifle that the sergeant of the soldiers was carrying. A disciple of the old man hits the sergeant with a wooden stick, angering him, and the seargeant threatens to kill him. Logan interfers and tells the sergeant to leave the kid alone. The sergeant was about to swing the butt of the rifle onto Logan's head, until Logan grabs his rifle and hits the sergeant with it.

  The sergeant was then about to shoot Logan until the captain of the Japanese imperial soldiers slashes at the back of the sergeant with his sword for dishonoring his uniform with his brutality. The captain was about to do the same to the soldier who had been with the captain until Logan stopped him. Surprised at Logan's defiance, even for an unarmed man, the captain advised him that if Logan ever wanted to study the martial arts, he should seek out Ogun who would help fill in the voids in Logan's life. Logan just merely waves off what the captain said, and after checking to see if the old man was okay, proceeded on his way.

  Back to the present, Logan grabs the Mime and breaks one of his wrist (the one armed with the knife), thinking that it should handicap him well enough to stop the fight. But that doesn't stop the possessed mime, as he just switches the cleaver into his other hand and continues to advance on Logan. Logan wonders how to put an end to this fight without hurting the innocently-possessed mime.

  Down on the streets below, Storm and Jean decides to pay a visit to Logan at his new apartment. They encounter Helen who was just about to pay a visit to Logan. Helen leaves.

  Back in the apartment, Logan and the possessed mime were still dueling it out. Jean senses there was a fight going on inside. Storm breaks down the door with a blast of lightning, and Jean disarms the Mime with her mind. Storm stops the Mime with a whirlwind. Jean was just about to probe the mind of the mime to see who had possessed him, when the entity within the mime possess Jean. Storm tries to stop her with a gust of wind, but the possessed Jean hurls a cleaver towards Storm. By pure instinct, Logan leaps in front of Storm, the cleaver striking him in the chest. The possessed Jean is momentarily stunned, allowing Jean to hurl the entity out of her mind. Logan allows himself to heal. He tells Jean and Storm to watch the box while he hunts down the entity.

  Down on the street, the entity had taken over Helen's body.

  Meanwhile, we catch a glimpse of Daimon Hellstorm in Fire Lake, Massachussetts. He had in his possession a crystal whose evil antiquity was legendary. Once thought to have disappeared, it was discovered in the possession of a disreputable dealer in antiquities. With its return, Daimon realizes that trouble was lurking once again, and with it, mortal danger.
