Summary
Ororo reluctantly returns to the Morlock tunnels, on the anniversary of the massacre (UXM 211). Someone has lit candles along the way; she finds Remy in the burial chamber. Startled, he throws cards at her, but she uses lightning to destroy them. She asks why he would be there (since he didn't show up till UXM 265), and he lamely says he read about it in the computer files. The phrase "ultimately responsible" hangs in the air between them.
Trish interviews Graydon on CBNC; he says his message is getting through to people, despite attacks by the liberal media such as the Daily Bugle. A man in the crowd heckles him: it is Bobby's father, sticking up for the mutant minority, to Bobby's great surprise. Security ejects him.
In Westchester, Joseph flies in through Rogue's window, waking her. He thinks he has solved her problem and takes he to the labs.
Bishop talks to Logan, not sure what he should do now that the traitor has been revealed. Logan says he should just live for the day like everyone else. Remy sees Joseph staring in Rogue's window, jumps to conclusions, and attacks him. Joseph tries to explain that he can cure her, but Remy doesn't want him to raise false hopes; they argue, and fisticuffs ensue. Remy breaks the rules and uses his powers, so Joseph wraps him up with the in-ground sprinkler system. Rogue breaks them up, says their excuses are pathetic, and flies away.
Jameson is investigating Graydon; his wife makes him come to bed. Alex observes from outside, planning to stop him.
