Summary

  Kingpin is working for Fujikawa; he has the Elixir Vitae and also has Sam captive, threatening to inject him with an experimental vaccine for the Legacy Virus unless the X-Men reveal who sent them.

  Fujikawa guards point out there's only two mutants in all Asia (Sunfire, Collective Man). Shaw emerges from the water and takes them out.

  Jean telekinetically holds back the needle from Sam; Scott demands that Kingpin release him and turn over the elixir. He does the first, then explains: after he lost power in New York (Daredevil 319-326), he used his connections to make his way to Asia. He obtained the elixir, for which effected mutants would pay a great price. He threatens to contaminate it.

  Bastion has Jubilee captive.

  Shaw arrives and confronts Kingpin, whose ninjas move to protect him. Ororo uses lightning to end the standoff; she destroys the elixir rather than allow a fight.

  The X-Men charter a flight home; en route Jean is attacked. Operation: Zero Tolerance has begun.
