Operation Zero Tolerance

Summary

  Note: this is part of the Operation: Zero Tolerance (OZT) crossover.

  At a hospital in the South Bronx, the staff watches reports on OZT's attacks on mutants. Reyes is worried, but gets interrupted by Gwynn, a stabbing victim whom she fails to save. But after she calls time of death, he jumps up again, a Prime Sentinel, and attacks her, with two hospital staffers transforming to Sentinels and joining him. Her mutant force field automatically activates, saving her, but not preventing intense pain.

  Bobby shows up to rescue her, so she whups him with a medical tray. (Three years ago, she rejected Xavier's offer to go to the school, and she thinks the X-Men have ratted her out.) Bobby loses his ice shield to Sentinel blasts, so he ices over the room and skedaddles into Morlock tunnels, towing Cecelia along against her will. They pause for her to berate him for ruining her medical career. He says they have to work together to get out of this, tells her his real identity and that he was assigned to protect her if her file was compromised.

  Bastion has Xavier, Scott, Sam, Logan, and Jean captive in the former Hulkbuster base in New Mexico.
