Summary
Rogue sleeps late, so Joseph checks on her, and she threatens to break his neck. The rest of the team is hanging wallpaper. They get a friendly note from Xavier, but Logan deducts it was written in a secured lab. Kelly inspects the old Hulkbuster base in Nevada, trying to free Xavier, but he was moved (see UXM 363 for the story).
Shaw throws a bacchanalia in Rio (guests include Warren, Betsy, and Stark), but he's still pondering the drawing of an artifact he was given (iss. 71), then accepts the offer.
Joseph catches Maggott alone and asks him why he called him friend (UXM 350), but Magneto swore him to secrecy. Sabra arrives and knocks them both out of the sky. Maggott sics his slugs on her, but she easily kicks them aside and is about to execute Joseph, so Maggott reveals he is not the real Magneto. Joseph goes with Sabra to find the truth, and Maggott promises to keep quiet. She knows his real name, Japheth, and that he's not a villain.
Maggott's slugs gaze on Salem Center, where Graves investigates murders. Marrow steals Cecelia's books and doctor's bag. The package to Ororo (iss. 71) gets to Hamburg, where African natives appear and insist it be forwarded.
It's New Years, and everyone is glum, so Hank gets them to think about the future and write resolutions.
