Summary

  Near Tranquility, Kansas, a fiery object falls out of the sky and crashes into a field. A stone obelisk rises out of the ground, where a radar dish emerges...

  In Autobase, Sparkplug storms angrily out of a meeting with Optimus Prime and meets Jolt and Longarm. Sparkplug is frustrated at the Minicons' lack of autonomy, and the meeting reaffirmed his view that they're merely resources and not peers. Meanwhile, at Lincoln Middle School, Rad is leaving class when he's attacked by two bullies. Sureshock and High Wire show up in their vehicle forms to defend him, but Carlos and Alexis quickly ride them away.

  At Decepticon headquarters, Cyclonus prepares to put the Minicons away for the night, but discovers that they've all escaped, and Megatron orders Starscream to track them. Meanwhile, Red Alert informs Optimus Prime that the Minicons have gone missing, and the three kids are shocked to learn that their Minicons are suddenly ignoring their commands and heading out of town...

  ...and to Tranquility, Kansas, where all of Earth's Minicons are drawn to the obelisk. As the arriving Decepticons try to capture the Minicons, they're attacked by the structure, while Rad informs the Autobots of the crisis. The Autobots soon arrive and engage the Decepticons, and lost in the chaos, no one notices that the Minicons are now entering the structure.

  When Rad rushes in to follow them, the door slams shut, and the obelisk suddenly blasts off back into space...
