Issue #10

Summary

On Earth, as Optimus Prime prepares to take the Space Bridge from Autobase to Cybertron, Hotshot and Red Alert are on standby at the Decepticon headquarters, ready to erase all records of his trip. On the Moon, Dualor explains the Minicons' desire for isolation to Rad, but shows no regrets at having him strapped to a mine (see last issue).

Elsewhere in the Minicon base, the Earthen Minicons debate the merits of their current situation. While some argue in favor of staying on the Moon, Sparkplug points out that they were taken against their will, which is no better than how the Minicons have been used by the Autobots and Decepticons. And none of them are aware that the Minicon Mirage is invisibly listening to them from nearby...

At the Autobase on Cybertron, Optimus Prime consults with a heavily-overworked Jetfire about getting some aid. Jetfire tersely explains that the Autobots are already stretched thin, and while equipment is available, personnel is not. In resigned silence, Optimus Prime leaves.

Back at Silver Ridge, Starscream and Thrust are arriving to pick up some supplies when they run across the incapacitated Demolisher. Starscream bursts into the base with guns blazing, but there's no sign of any Autobots. Neither of them realize that Hotshot and Red Alert are hiding in a ventilation duct, even as the viewscreen indicates Optimus Prime is using the Space Bridge to return to Earth.

At the Minicon Moon Base, Mirage lies to Dualor about how the Earthen Minicons are starting to accept life on the Moon. The chat is interrupted as the Decepticons attack -- Megatron has breached the base walls with a subterranian drill, right into the Earthen Minicons' holding cell. As the Minicons fight back, Megatron orders Leader-1 to shut down the base's defense systems, while Mirage whisks Sparkplug away to rescue Rad.

Back on Earth, Hotshot and Red Alert burst out of hiding to attack the Decepticons, while Optimus Prime shows Alexis and Carlos the gunship he brought back from Cybertron. Inside the Moon, Dualor and his team have launched the Minicons' orbital mines -- including one with Rad trapped inside -- when they are suddenly taken out by a well-placed grenade. As the dust clears, Leader-1 stands over them, ready to carry out his own agenda...
