Summary

  While Rad's parents discuss their son's academic aspirations, Mirage explains to Sparkplug about Dualor's scheme to strap Rad to an orbital mine. As the two search for the Minicon Space Team to rescue Rad, Megatron bursts into the Moon Base's main chamber. Leader-1 deactivates the base's defenses, and Megatron orders Cyclonus in for the kill. Meanwhile, Optimus Prime approaches the Moon (with Carlos and Alexis by remote proxy) in the Autobot gunship, unaware that Rad is somewhere in the minefield before him...

  In the Moon Base, Leader-1 informs Megatron that the Minicons are evacuating the base, and gives him directions to intercept. Megatron follows, but is soon trapped in a weapons silo -- where Leader-1 opens fire from all sides! Outside, Cyclonus discovers the base's weapons are still active, and is quickly bombarded once again.

  Meanwhile, Mirage and Sparkplug have found the Space Team, and Sparkplug convinces them to resist Dualor's tyranny and rescue Rad. They try to retrieve the mine with Rad inside, but the recall code doesn't work. As an alternate plan, they redirect the mines to a lower orbit, which pulls them back from Prime's shuttle and allows time for Sky Blast to rescue Rad. Sky Blast quickly latches on to Rad's mine, and -- with a series of nonthreatening moves -- tows it aboard the gunship.

  Back in the base, Leadder-1 is savoring his revenge on Megatron, and is sucker-punched by Dualor. He smashes into the weapons control panel, destroying it and ending the assault on Megatron. Panicking, Leader-1 attempts to flee, but Megatron quickly arrives and angrily captures him and the Destruction Team.

  As the remaining Minicons board escape pods and flee to Earth, Optimus Prime easily shoots down Cyclonus, and Rad is reunited with Alexis and Carlos. Prime thanks Sky Blast for his help in the rescue, and agrees to Sky Blast's request to recover the rest of the Space Team.
