Summary
Note: here begins X-Force as a "Counter-X" series. Surviving an issue longer than the New Mutants, it has been co-opted by the British.
Stuart is now head of the Department, the British organization that replaced Black Air (see Excalibur 86ff). He knows Wisdom is up to something. Wisdom says he knows about British Intelligence's dissection lab, just as he blows it up.
Six months later, a secret Russian lab is under attack by Meatspore Stormtroopers, which are self-replicating robots of flesh, accidentally released.
Wisdom leads X-Force to the rescue. Sam slams into the ground; the shock wave kills many. Jesse disrupts the electronics, and Tabitha makes shows new skill with her bombs.
Wisdom offers to lead them in crusade against secret anti-mutant conspiracies.
In San Francisco, a girl goes berserk on the street, lasers shooting from her eyes.
