Summary

  Nate remembers shoving a shard of the M'Kraan crystal into Holocaust's chest.

  Holocaust attacks him on the beach, wounding bystanders, and their dying gets Threnody's attention. She tries to help the victims, but desires their death energies and euthanizes one.

  Maddie pokes around Selene's secret attic, finding her victims just as she returns. She has just killed the other Externals (X-Force 53-54) to prepare for troubles to come. She wants Maddie as her heir, gives her a leather outfit, and sends her to London to meet Rob Roy.

  Holocaust explains that he has allied with Onslaught, a new, mysterious villain. He battles Nate, then takes Threnody hostage, and Nate yields.
