Summary

Warren says the G8 pretended to listen, which is a start, but Stacy says humans don't want to understand mutants. Cerebra detects one in Zurich, so the X-Men fly there. They secure the mutant (who uncontrollably pukes fire), but then ARM wants to arrest them all, and the X-Men refuse. X-Corps arrives, claiming jurisdiction. Fever Pitch scares off ARM, and Multiple Man strong arms Warren into letting him take the mutant, so Sean can give him safety and purpose.

Sean lectures Jon, saying mutant-on-mutant violence is their biggest problem, so he'll restore peace by violence as needed. Sean wants to recruit him and reveals their old Generation X teammates, Jubilee, M, and Husk. The kids are skeptical of Sean even though they rejoined him, and there's rumor of a telepathic monster in the basement.

Bobby confronts Avalanche, Blob, and Surge (Pyro redivivus) in a bar. The ex-Freedom Forcers want to fight but get headaches at the thought; Surge just walks away. Avalanche asserts they've joined Sean freely, for pay, immunity, and official standing.

ARM's leader Eisen, a Swiss, sends an anti-mutant video to the news, which broadcasts it uncritically. Kurt asks Sean how he'll respond, but he puts it off. He still has Leyu working to control Abyss's power. He reminds Kurt of their shared history as X-Men (Giant-Sized 1, iss. 94-129), but Kurt says they've traveled different paths since. Sean favors mutant police actions; Kurt is unsettled. He checks with Jon, who's also suspicious.

Surge attacks ARM's base, electrocuting them.

Jon gets into Sean's secret lab and finds Mastermind's tank. Illusion hits him like a wave, and he sees the original Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.
